CAMPING KALAMITSI BEACH :: Diving Center Kalamitsi

The Kalamitsi Beach Camping is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Greek waters, lost in the wild nature and away from chaos.

The camping is located on the seaside, a few minutes from Preveza, a pleasant town of the Ionian Sea facing the Gulf of Arta. Preveza is a beautiful and well organized town, with a nice touristic port, well equipped and sheltered; with a Venetian castle and many fine grained sand beaches.

The area of the port and the surrounding alleys are the perfect places to go shopping or to relax in one of the many nightclubs on the seaside.

According to tradition, from this wonderful place in the area of Preveza and following the Acheronte river and the Acherousia Lake, Ulysses arrived to the Mycenean colony of Efyra and to famous Nekromandio.

The Kalamitsi Beach Camping has been completely restructured; it offers some independent houses and more than 100 shaded campsites. It takes less than one hour by car from the port of Igoumenitza where the ferries from the Italian ports of Brindisi, Bari, Ancona and Venice arrive, and a few minutes from the airport of Preveza.

The coast from the port of Igoumenitsa towards south is wonderful; extraordinary beaches surrounded by extremely rich vegetation follow each other until Preveza which is a touristic place surrounded by green and full of wonderful beaches on the turquoise blue Ionian Sea.

The list of beaches is extremely long; we are speaking of one of the best coasts of the Ionian Sea. Places like Monolithi, Artolithia, Loutsa and Ammoudia, in a wonderful gulf, with beaches for families, never crowded, are definitely places to visit.
